The dbx Model 180 is a Type I tape noise reduction system which provides two channels of encode and two channels of decode processing. It is thus capable of simultaneous recording and off- tape monitoring of a stereo program (or two independent single-channel programs). IT CAN BE INTERESTING TO GET UNDER THE HOOD OF THESE UNITS AND TWEAK FOR UNIQUE SPECIAL EFFECTS, MUCH LIKE THE DOLBY NOISE REDUCTION SYSTEMS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
