About This Listing

The real deal circa 1961!

This one is a true unicorn. Fenton Weill was created in the very late 50’s by Jim Burns of Burns guitar fame. These guitars are the ancestors of the Burns guitars we all know and love.

Fenton Weill guitars are very hard to come by as only a limited number of these were produced over the short lifespan of this British brand.

I have been collecting vintage Burns for years and amassed what was at some point the largest vintage left handed Burns collection known to exist.

This was my only Fenton Weill guitar. This guitar sounds and play like a dream. In fact it was just setup by Valentin Novo of Guitare Novo in Belfort, France. The only thing we did not want to mess with were the electronics which are a bit of a mess but both pickup work.

Valentin did an incredible job. He tools care of cleaning the frets and installing a new bone nut (the old one was long gone).

The nut, two tuners (Van Gent enclosing still present), the bridge, one pot and the pickguard were changed at some point. The D tuner is slightly bent but fully’fonctional

It’s big fat neck is fun to pay. This is a light guitar with a nice sweet tone.

Its body has seen better days aesthetically. A sticker was removed at some point using what I assume to be nail polish. A piece from the top probably got ripped apart and glued back.

The neck has tons of play wear on the fretboard.

Don’t miss this opportunity to buy what could be the earliest Jim Burns lefty ever made!

Amp and case not included
