This bass model was built from Lucite as part of a collaboration between Dan Armstrong and Ampeg. These models featured a bolt-on maple neck, clear lucite body and interchangable pickups. The bridge has been replaced with a Leo Quan Inc. "Badass" bridge. Vintage Schaller tuners made in West Germany replaced the original tuners. The bass has been fully rewired, and the pickup has been replaced with a Gibson EB humbucker. The controls include a master volume & tone with a series parallel switch. The pot codes date to 1976, which might be when the modifications were done. The bass shows light wear for its age with only fine hairline scratches on the front and back of the body. The neck has some light dings and marks on the fretboard from fingernails. The frets are wide and medium-height with some light wear. The truss rod adjusts at the nut. Overall, this bass plays great with low action and optimal neck relief; the bass is currently strung with 45-100 D'Addario roundwounds. Original hard shell case included!
