Gibson Chet Atkins Classic Custom Shop Edition 1982 - Natural

This is a Gibson Chet Atkins Classic CUSTOM SHOP EDITION made in Kalamazoo Michigan. These were made in a alphabet series from A through K. This looks to be the very first one made in January 1982 with the serial number G- 001 . This is a one owner guitar that was bought in the Bay Area in California. This sale is for my close friend the original owner. It is in amazing condition for it's age 41 years old. I don't see any major scratches or dings just ever so light surface rubs scratches . There is zero fret wear and hardly any tarnish to the gold hardware. The tuners are incredibly smooth and snug feeling. The fretboard and frets were oiled and polished to a shine. The bridge was also oiled. There was a shim installed under the saddle and an extra is included. I'm assuming that the shims were original to the guitar as they are perfectly cut. Electronics work and for each string there is an individual tone wheel of some kind that adjusts the tone subtly. Fresh battery installed. Guitar has been polished. Fresh set of DAdarrio Carbon Classical strings installed. I took pictures of it in the sun to make sure everything was bright and clear. The mohagany back has a slight flame to it at the right angle. The case is clean and polished but the handle has broken off long ago but is also included inside along with the hang tag and warranty page. The back plate is missing one small gold screw. There are three black specs on the back of the neck that are under the finish and might just be part of the mohagany neck . i can send you a pic if you like. The guitar weighs 11.5 pounds so shipping will be firm . This is definitely a collectors piece and a part of Gibson History. Taking offers now.
