OK, this is a hard one. But I gotta let it go, and somebody is going to get a fun bass with a great story.

I bought this Framus Star bass new in 1967, when I was a senior in High School. Yep, that is a photo of my band playing a noon dance from the '68 year book. I love the confused look on that guy's face.

I later used it in a variety of bands, everything from R&B (my favorite being "Steve Richards and his Famous Flaming Flares") to road house blues to swing. The other picture is me playing a notorious biker bar in Sacramento in the summer of 72. Yes, we all used to look like that...

The bass is all original, save for the wooden strip under the bridge. I replaced a pick-up I'd removed and lost with a vintage pick-up from the same year. Never got a round to replacing the sticker on the head stock, which now reads "Fram".

Everything works, though I'd suggest cleaning the pots. It's been under my bed for years.

No case, sorry. But you will get the ultimate case candy -- the original hang tag with the sales date!

PLEASE READ: Do not waste my time by asking me to contact you --or your father (nice twist) -- outside of Reverb at some disposable email account.
