Up for sale is a rare, versatile 1982 Gibson Victory MVX in classic Antique Fireburst (Serial #80462507). Designed during Gibson's Kalamazoo transition era, the Victory MVX is the ultimate bridge between a Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson SG—combining Offset/Strat-style double-cutaway ergonomics with thick, glued-neck sustain.Tone & ElectronicsPickups: Features the original Tim Shaw-designed pickup configuration, including a Velvet Brick humbucker in the neck, a Super Trembucker in the bridge, and a factory-original Super Stack humbucker in the middle.Stacked Middle Pickup: The middle pickup uses a stacked-coil design to give you narrow, glassy single-coil attack and chime without any 60-cycle hum.Versatility: The 5-way selector paired with the mini-toggle coil-split switch unlocks a massive range of tones, spanning glassy, single-coil Strat spank to warm, saturated SG humbucker punch.Condition & PlayabilitySetup: Plays smooth up and down the neck with low action, straight neck alignment, and healthy frets. Electronics, tuners, and bridge function completely as they should.Cosmetics: Honest, original player-grade finish wear. Shows classic edge-chipping along the lower bout, finish checking, and surface scratches from normal use. Free of headstock cracks, break repairs, or structural issues.IncludesOriginal Gibson hardshell caseOriginal Gibson owner's manualOriginal factory warranty card, hangtags, and case candyPacked meticulously and shipped fully insured.
