A stunning Andy Manson Magpie acoustic that was made in 2017 but is brand new, stored in perfect conditions. This is an absolutely unique opportunity that can't be repeated. This instrument was one of two commissioned for the Manson Guitar Show exhibition, one sold very quickly whilst the second was removed from sale when it was realised that the chances of getting another would be slim indeed. Andy Manson is recognised as one of the true greats of acoustic guitar making, creating every single model by hand whilst pushing the boundaries of acoustic design with his stunning Mermaid sculpture guitar.
The Magpie here is a more traditional take on Andy's creativity yet retains the same attention to detail and craftsmanship of his more exotic builds. Spec is as expected, top-notch with Gotoh 510 machineheads, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, mother-of-pearl logo inlay, mahogany neck, Sitka spruce top, dark and highly figured Indian rosewood sides, and dripping with gorgeous details. Just take a look at the close-up of the end pin for an example of detail craftsmanship at its finest. The guitar maintains Andy's ethos of a very light build that resonates with the player, meaning a very light touch is very expressive and detailed, perfect fro finger style nuances whilst also well able to handle strumming boldness.
