About This Listing

High end semi-acoustics are something Yamaha have been experts at for decades now and the beautiful SA2200 model is no exception! This professional level guitar plays and sounds as good as it looks which is excellent because this guitar is stunning!

Built in the tradition way of semis using laminated wood (in this case, Sycamore) around a centre block of maple, this AS2200 sports a Mahogany neck with a sumptuous Ebony fretboard. This has a 13.75" radius and holds 22 medium jumbo frets and split block inlays.

A high quality Gotoh bridge (in Gold, like all of the hardware) sets a standard for hardware that is ably matched by the pickups: a pair of Yamaha's own design covered humbuckers, made with Alnico V magnets for a smooth and balanced sound, ideal for jazz but also great for blues and indie styles.

The quality of workmanship and set up on this is wonderful: despite its obvious beauty, this is very much a player's guitar and one that is at a superbly high level too.
