NO holes for mounting neck pickup (pickup must be mounted below the pickguard—a design not compatible with American Special models). There is a period correct scoop in the truss rod adjustment/neck pocket area. Mint green looks like the aged white nitrocellulose plastic found on late '50s-mid '60s Fender Fine Electric Instruments.
