About This Listing

I'm selling my Jack Briggs Avatar that I ordered around 2017 and took delivery of in 2019. Jack Briggs is a luthier local to me in Raleigh, North Carolina, that makes his guitars completely by hand. This is a great playing and well-made guitar but I am moving it on to make room for something else. The neck is what he calls a '56 neck carve, I would describe it as being hefty and on the bigger side but not too big. It feels like it follows the shape of your fretting hand and is very comfortable. There are 3 pickups - 2 minihumbuckers and 1 single coil (housed in a P90 cover) with a 5-way blade selector. The pickups sound great and are HiFi with a lot of clarity. The 5-way selector in this pickup configuration gives you a lot of versatility which is what I was going for when I ordered the guitar. I'll leave some basic specs below as well as a picture of the COA which has the full info.

The finish is called custom aquamarine and is based on the color of an SG that I liked. This finish turned out to be a lot cooler than what it was based on. You can see a lot of wood grain and the finish will subtly change colors depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks more green and sometimes more blue. I tried to take the best pictures that I could to show scratches/blemishes/wear of the finish. This guitar has been taken care of but played and the wear reflects that. It is really hard to capture some of the wear in photos but just be aware that there are pick scratches where a pick guard would be, blemishes where my arm rests on the guitar, and various scratches/dings across the guitar. Most of the marks you can't see unless you catch it in the right light but they are there. There is also cosmetic wear to all 3 pickups from where my hand rests/where I pick. I am making it sound worse than it honestly is but the finish is thin nitro and I want whoever buys the guitar to understand that it has been worn in.

If you have any questions send me a message and I can answer them. If you're interested in the guitar and want to get more info over the phone I can do that as well. I will ship in a hardshell case. Thanks for looking!
