This BC-16E starts off with a solid Sitka spruce for a dynamic tone with excellent acoustic projection.
This sits atop sides and a back of East Indian Rosewood.
The body is satin finished for the ultimate in natural resonance.
The tone here is big and warm but with fantastic note articulation. 
The wonderful acoustic tone of this Martin is captured and faithfully reproduced by the on-board Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT2 preamp system.
This musical and responsive system delivers great authentic acoustic tone whether onstage or in the studio.
The volume, tone, and Enhance controls are mounted just inside the top of the soundhole for easy and quick access. 
A very versatile design.
The neck here has a comfortable Standard Taper oval C profile.
