Selling my 2012 Gibson SJ-200 True Vintage, made in Bozeman, Montana. This is an exceptionally well-preserved example of the discontinued True Vintage SJ-200, with the vintage-spec construction and materials that distinguish these from the standard SJ-200.

The guitar is in exceptional condition and has seen remarkably little play. The frets show virtually no wear. I've included detailed close-up photos, including the only extremely small area of wear I can find at the first fret. The finish, neck, fingerboard and hardware have all been very well preserved. Even after all these years, the guitar and interior of the original case still have that remarkably fresh/new smell.

The primary cosmetic sign of use on the guitar is some slight wear to the artwork on the pickguard, which is visible in the photos. The original hardshell case has some exterior marks and bumps from storage, but the interior is exceptionally clean.

This True Vintage features some very special period specifications, including an Adirondack red spruce top, beautifully figured maple neck, back and sides, Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and mustache bridge, hide-glue construction, and vintage-style appointments. Built during the Ren Ferguson era at Gibson’s Bozeman, Montana acoustic shop, it comes from a particularly celebrated period of Gibson acoustic production. The Madagascar rosewood is especially noteworthy and is a material you simply won’t find on current-production guitars.

Includes the original Gibson brown/pink hardshell case, owner's manual and original paperwork.

I've owned several new and used SJ-200/SJ-100s over the years, and this is the best-preserved example I've personally owned. It's remarkable to see a 2012 guitar this clean.
