Pono ETC-PC Cedar/ Macassar CutawayVery close to mint condition. It hasn't been played much at all. Just a lovely tenor Ukulele. Sells for $1200 on The Ukulele Site. Here is a chance to get one for quite a bit less. I will include a new set of strings and an Oasis humidifier.
New Pro Classic model!
This is a gorgeous Pono cutaway tenor using the Macassar sides &
Back. If this is showing We think you will love it. Along with the
striking beauty it has an amazing sound and feel. It comes with a
fantastic case.
Macassar Ebony is one
of the premier exotic woods used in high end custom acoustics. Even
higher in cost than koa wood but the sound quality is undeniably choice.
How so?
Clean and crisp, rich with overtones and singing sustain, and coupled
with a cedar top, the tone of this macassar is absolutely perfect for
what many look for. Cedar has a "broken in" quality, or a sweetness in
sound that it takes other woods many years to attain. What I notice is
that the Macassar adds defenition, projection, and reverberating
sustain. And that's not to mention the looks.
All woods were not created equal and never has that been more
evident. Framing off this exquisite ebony is Hawaiian koa wood binding.
This gives contrast but with a warm earthy tone. For the first time in
years koa is used with Pono. This accent enhances the overall visual
appeal.
This model, like all new Pro Classics from Pono has a radius
fingerboard. It's not an extreme radius, and is hardly noticeable until
pointed out. But it surely adds to the comfort of play. We must warn
you, if you get this instrument, your others may get ignored. It's a
treat in every way.
The truss rod advantage. The newer, higher quality Pono case. Many
things give value to the newest Pro Classics. Namely, the precision
workmanship and skill level of these builders. It also shows a
persistance for excellence that Ko'olau has shown.
