I offer here a 1974 Tama 3548S, made in the legendary Tama workshop in Aichi, Japan and hand-signed by master luthier D. Raisk with an extremely resonant selected red cedar top, wild grained Indian rosewood body, one-piece mahogany neck with hand-shaped C-profile, ebonized rosewood fingerboard and 51mm wide bone nut in an authentically aged high gloss finish with elaborate rosewood body bindings with multi-ply maple/rosewood purfling and multi-ply veneered headstock in a very good preserved condition including the original vintage hardshell case and a professional setup with Savarez 500ARJ strings.
This Tama 3548S is a rare classical guitar built by Tama and distributed by Ibanez Japan in the mid 1970s. It was the time when Japanese guitar making experienced a real golden heyday and the high standards in instrument craftsmanship achieved world fame. Japanese copies of famous guitars, especially from the USA, were truly in no way inferior to their models; in some cases they even surpassed them, so that the US companies had no choice but to take legal action against them.
Tama Seisakusho Co., today known for high-quality drum sets, manufactured the high-end premium concert and acoustic guitars for Ibanez during the 1970s. The instruments are characterized by a particularly outstanding manufacturing quality and are a real insider's tip.
This 3548S features a selected top made of fine-grained cedar, while the back and sides are made of dark Indian rosewood. The instrument also features a one-piece mahogany neck with a selected rosewood fingerboard on top. Handcrafted in the traditional way, the 3548S has an excellent build quality.
The time-honored tonewood combination offers a great tonal richness with full, gut buzzing and long standing basses as well as bell-like highs rich in harmonics. Thus, the melodious open sound, occupying the entire sound spectrum, is excellent not only for classical pieces, but also for any modern accompaniment. It is an instrument that inspires again and again, even after hours of playing.
Playability is fantastic thanks to perfectly adjusted string action and the 51mm wide bone nut.

The guitar is visually as well as technically in a very nice preserved condition. Over the decades, traces of normal use have appeared (minor scratches & dents on body, etc. - see pictures) - but all insignificant and superficial. The guitar is free of cracks and the neck is straight - the frets are still ok.
I have set up the guitar with Savarez 500ARJ strings (I am a longtime guitar teacher) and will ship fully insured with DHL for 29.99€ within Germany or for 49.99€ within the EU. Shipping outside the EU possible - individual shipping costs on request.
