Italia Maranello Classic Red Sparkle Bass Guitar

Here for sale we have an Italia Maranello Bass Guitar in Red Sparkle and Pearloid finish. Made in Korea, this Bass features an Agathis body, Hardrock Maple neck and 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured consists of a wraparound bridge, Italia Die-Cast tuning machines and two Wilkinson Alnico V Humbucking Pickups. These are wired to independent volume controls and a master tone.

The Italia 'C' profile neck sits comfortably in the hand, offering a smooth and comfortable playability in all registers as well as ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The 12" radius provides a comfortable and durable playing surface, with ample string spacing facilitating a range of techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The body cutaway provides unrestricted access to the upper register, perfect for jumping from rhythm playing to lead lines.

The dual humbuckers provide a full and thick tone. A solid bottom end is complimented well by a focussed midrange and sparkling high frequencies. The neck pickup provides a creamy tone with a warm rounded low end, whilst the bridge pickup offers plenty of brightness and snappiness for those thumping rhythm tones.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Any markings are difficult to discern from the pearloid  finish.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching can be seen to the fingerboard, visible under direct light. This is most noticeable to the inlays on the fingerboard. Any markings to the back of the neck are difficult to discern from the pearloid  finish.

Body: All aspects of the body present minimal signs of use. Any markings to the back and sides of the body are difficult to discern from the pearloid  finish.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional & can be adjusted

Hardware Condition: Fully functional with light signs of wear. The screws for adjusting the height of the bridge are threaded, which results in no way to lower it. To account for this, we have installed a shim into the neck, which has lowered the action to an appropriate height.

Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note

Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 2.75mm - Bass 3.5mm
