Hi there! Up for sale is a really special piece. This is a 60’s Vox AC30/6 Super Reverb Twin Top Boost amplifier made in England by JMI! This is it, a Vox amp with has all the classic chime as well as growl as heard on countless classic records. Not only that this amp has on board spring reverb!
The amp was recently serviced by Todd Sharp at Nashville Amplifier service and sounds FANTASTIC. The original spring reverb tank was no longer working (and are no longer being produced) so, Todd modified the reverb circuit to accept more traditional style reverb tanks. It performs exceptionally well.
There are 3 channels:
Top Boost-more high end and chimey
Normal-bassier and more full spectrum sound.
Vibrato-kinda a mix between the other 2 channels but with onboard vibrato. Yes, it’s actual vibrato, not tremolo.
The amp is in nice shape for being over 50 years old. It’s for sure seen some use. As you can see typical wear, as well as a tear in the grill cloth. It’s dripping with retro mojo.
The speaker cabinet, I believe is a reproduction. It’s currently fitted with 2 UK made vintage 30’s that sound incredible.
