This beautifully preserved Hofner classical guitar was made in the 1970s and features not only high-quality materials, but also a great sound and playability altogether. Construction wise, it is a fan-braced instrument that has a solid tight-grained bookmatched spruce top, a rosewood bridge with a bone saddle, comfortable mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. The tuners are in perfect shape and work very well on all strings. There are nickel silver frets on the fretboard which are original and were left in the original state, as they are still in good condition.
The guitar boasts a rich, balanced sound with excellent definition in the higher register too, generally in line with the long-standing high standard of German-made Hofner guitars. String action is comfortable, as is the neck itself.
The scale lenght is 620 mm, the string spacing at saddle is 51 mm and the nut width is 44 mm.
