About This Listing

Just in on consignment, an all original Fender Electric XII from early 1966 in its clean original Candy Apple Red Metallic finish with matching headstock.

The Electric XII was Leo Fender's last design patented before the sale of Fender to CBS in early 1965, and was Fender's competition to the popular Rickenbacker 12 string electrics at the time.

This particular example remains in fully original condition from the factory right down to its original frets and nut. Both original split-coil pickups remain untouched, as does the rest of the wiring with both pots dating to the 45th week of 1965.

The original candy apple red finish has some buckle rash on the back and the typical finish checking, however remains in great shape overall.

This one is ready to play having just been setup by Piers Crocker in Sydney.

Includes its original Australian Stamford import case.
