For sale: this original Warwick Fortress Flashback. German built, beautiful bass of which (according to Warwick) only 60-80 were ever made. Ash body in a cherry red, trans satin finish and a faux MOP scratch plate and is in excellent condition. The only real wear is on the pickups. It doesn't affect the sound in any way, but if you'd be really bothered by it you could always replace them as these are still for sale.

With a weight of 4,86kg this is not a lightweight by any means, but I have never owned a bass with a better balance. It has no nose-dive whatsoever. If you play it sitting down you can lean it against your body without holding it and this makes playing it that much more comfortable.

The bridge is the 2tek unit, which passes right through the body and gives it real punch as well as amazing sustain. Not to be confused with the later reissue models which only had the standard Warwick bridge. The bolt-on neck is amongst the best Warwick ever made; a slick and thin, Jazz style Wenge on Wenge construction. It is feels and plays like a dream. One of the smoothes necks you'll ever play. The neck holds 24 bronze frets. All brushed metal hardware is original including the Brass Just-A-Nut 1. The machine heads are all original (Warwick branded) open backed Hipshot tuners, also in a brushed silver and are in fully working order. The pickups are passive MEC Lipstick style units, and have seen some wear over the year. Electrics are good with no problems. Bass features the flush strap locking system and the strap locks are included.

As show in the final three images there are a few more visible scratches and dents, these are on the top of the headstock (two scratches), near the pickup (one dent) and a few dents on the bottom of the bass. None of these blemishes influence the playability or sound of the bass in any way.

Included is a Gruvgear Gigblade bag which is virtually new. The bag is sturdy and comfortable, will hold your bass safe and is comfortable to wear.

Please note that sales outside the EU will be subject to import and custom duties, and these are the customers responsability - I have no control over them. Please research this carefully.
