Tesla EVK326 #3 Vintage Preamp+EQ (API Killer!) + Video

Hello vintage lovers! I have, for sale, a very rare and cool device. This is an EVK 326 channel strip from a large vintage Studio Console. The TESLA VRABLE, was originally made in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic and was distributed almost exclusively in the USSR.

The circuitry of the preamp is rather unique. Tesla used a WNC 030 DISCRETE OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER of its own design (Like Jensen 990, NTP M100 or API-2520). It has fully discrete circuitry and sounds incredibly smooth, detailed and musical. (See demonstration video in the latest photos.)

The channel strip has two independent inputs - microphone (with sensitivity more than 70dB) and line (0dB and +6dB) 

The fully parametric equalizer has three bands (Low, Mid, Hi) with selectable frequencies, and a choice of bell/shelf for Low and Hi. The equalizer is fully discrete, and stepped, which is very convenient for use as a stereo pair. For example, in linear mode for mastering or coloring a subgroup.

These units are racked and assembled with care. 48v provided. PSU is 110 or 220v (choose for your country)

I love the Tesla brand. I have several devices in my studio and they’re always in use. They have a vintage, nicely colored sound, with exceptional headroom. Unfortunately, these products never reached such popularity, as say, the Soviet brand LOMO. But in my experience, Tesla made devices equal in quality with LOMO.

I’ve made a demo recording using this device (see photos). I used two mics as overheads; the inexpensive, yet famous RM BIV-1 Russian ribbon MICS. +Some EQing. Have a listen, it sounds good. If you would like, I’m happy to run any samples through it for demonstration.
