Tap into the rhythms of the Earth with this cluster of dark-hued seed pods harvested from the sweet chestnut plant, which is common throughout southern Europe, Asia Minor, and other temperate regions. Grasp the thick, woven hemp handle or drape it over a wrist and begin shaking rhythmically to excite hard, hollow tones that evoke primordial sounds. It’s a perfect choice for any percussionist searching for new tonal colors, as well as beginners who want to join in the circle.
