The Koa Special Concert acoustic guitar brings a touch of figured-koa-patterned elegance to Martin’s ultra-durable X series. This guitar’s concert-sized body is constructed with cutting-edge HPL (High-Pressure Laminate), a composite material that’s extraordinarily stable, resisting the temperature- and humidity-induced changes that can so often be a challenge when playing traditional wood guitars in challenging environments. The X series Koa Special Concert’s HPL body is then covered with beautiful koa-patterned HPL, granting you the best of classic Martin looks and modern guitar-building innovation. A natural birch laminate neck topped with a slab of composite richlite mirrors the new-meets-old foundation set by the body, with a fast-playing High-Performance Taper profile. And while the Martin X series Koa Special Concert’s construction diverts far from the old-school Martin course, this guitar’s compact concert-sized body delivers the same clear, balanced tone that you’d expect to find on any traditionally built small-bodied Martin.
