After much contemplation I am offering my Galloup student guitar for sale. I built this guitar when I attended the Galloup school in 2004. It is a fantastic instrument, plays wonderfully and has had twenty years of honest playing time to allow the wood to achieve its true tonal potential. However, like many luthiers, I find as the years go on I spend more time building guitars and less time playing them. As such, I would like this guitar to end up with someone who will play and appreciate it.

Comprised of East Indian rosewood back, sides, bridge and fretboard, a beautiful book matched bear claw Sitka spruce top and five piece honduran mahogany neck with maple and rosewood stringers. It has bone bridge pins, nut and saddle. The guitar has just been setup and restrung with .012-.053" elixir nano webs.

I took many picture and close ups to show this guitar as well as possible. The guitar has been played and well loved, however it is completely structurally sound. There are no cracks, breaks or damage repair. The guitar has recently been re- fretted and the bridge was re-glued over a decade ago with no signs of change since. There is weather checking across the nitrocellulose finish, especially around the purfling, plenty of minor dents dings and superficial scratches as well as evidence that a young apprenticing luthier attended to some of the aesthetics while building the guitar. However, the current rock solid structure and longevity of the instrument itself speaks to the tutelage and guidance the Galloup school has offered for decades. It is no wonder that the masterpieces Brian Galloup produces himself often go for more then ten times the price of the student models. Please view the pictures thoroughly. If you can appreciate the aesthetics, the guitar is an amazingly powerful, projecting and well balanced high end instrument.

I am happy to answer questions.

The guitar will be professionally packaged and fully insured for shipping.

This guitar will ship as soon as payment is received.
