Gibson Custom R9 for Yamano Music japan-Lemondrop with a stunning flame top

For those who are unaware,
Yamano was a retailer in Japan with the highest quality control and exacting standards in existence.
All Yamano guitars are hand picked at the factory and we’re simply the best of the best.

This is one is no exception and is one of the highest quality R9s you will ever find.

Les Pauls hand selected by Yamano specifically for the Japanese market.  This particular model has all the hallmarks both players & collectors are looking for in an R9, along with a beautiful, wide ribbon flame top finished in Lemonburst.  A perfect '59 profile neck combined with a pair of Burstbuckers makes this an awesome sounding guitar!  Yamano Music paperwork written in Japanese is included along with the original COA & an assortment of Gibson hang tags.  Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent condition overall with various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings along with mild surface scratches. 

Neck:  '59 Profile, one-piece mahogany neck with aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots.  Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.

It's a joy to play with a sublime ‘59 profile neck and the Burstbucker pickups delivering those wonderful PAF-like tones.

Body:  Solid mahogany body with a beautiful flame maple top finished in Lemonburst.  Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with nickel hardware.  Single-ply cream pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & no cracks in the jackplate either. 

Guitar weighs 9 lbs 2.4 oz.

Pickups:  Gibson Burstbuckers with aged nickel covers & cream bezels. 

Bridge - 8.05K ohms; Neck - 7.59K ohms.  Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch & bubble bee caps.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original vintage-style hardshell case.  Also included are the original tags, COA & Yamano Music paperwork written in Japanese.

  • The 2006 - 2012 Gibson Custom Historic '59 Les Paul Standard Reissues featured mahogany bodies with figured maple tops, Vintage '59 neck profiles with rosewood fretboards, and Burstbucker pickups. They were available in VOS or Gloss finishes
  • VOS finishes are slightly duller, meant to simulate a vintage patina. Gloss finishes originally retailed for slightly more than VOS models.
  • Available in both Gloss and VOS versions of Iced Tea Burst, Washed Cherry, and Faded Tobacco, along with various other limited run finishes.
  • During this time, a 50th Anniversary model was also produced along with another variant, the '59 Les Paul Factory Burst.
  • Updated in 2013 to feature Gibson's Custombucker humbuckers.
