Eric Pritchard has more patents in the amplifier arts than any other company. These innovations have been effective in creating the most “tube-like” solid state amp on the market. Eric was the designer for the PRS Harmonic Generator amplifier series.
This “Sultry Margaux” is unique even among the rare Pritchard amps available. It was designed as his acoustic model, but definitely does not stop there. Warm, fat jazz tones are easily attained, as are gritty blues sounds.
This handmade combo has 2 high powered 8” eminence alphas and a tweeter. It also comes with a custom made vinal cover. At 180 watts peak distorted power (60 watts clean, 90 watts dirty), the Pritchard can easily cut any room with a band. The fat high end is especially impressive in a jazz setting…solo or with a group. The vast array of sounds generated by the tone knob encompasses sounds from Fender, Vox, Mesa Boogie, and more, with different positions focusing on elements such as high bass scoop, smooth, liquid, precision, punchy etc. The ”B” channel gives a bass emphasis. The versatility of this amp is seemingly endless. These amps are in a class of their own. . It comes with a custom made vinyl cover.
