About This Listing

Here's a GORGEOUS "Beatlebacker" (325 configuration, 2-O'Clock F-Hole & Toasters w/ Accent Vibrato). We've contacted Ric about this one, but they've offered little information. The cavity says 325, however an "R" tailpiece was installed at some point signifying it could have been a 320 model. The F-Hole and Toasters were both available by order from Ric in late '79 (Mfg. date on this is Jan. 1980) Triple Toasters, Accent Vibrato and vintage bridge. This has one of the deepest and most beautiful shades of FG we've ever had in the shop, beautifully aged color. Gorgeous exotic graining.....The neck is laser straight, the nut has been slightly shaved for easy fingering at the lower chord level, and it plays beautifully all the way up the neck....a real PLAYER, with a true Pro-Shop setup. The electronics are perfect, and it comes ready to PLAY right out of the original case. Also includes a laminated copy of the original Beatlebacker magazine ad, and a color picture of John holding his famous guitar from '64, and a signed/serialed COA from our Custom Shop (w/warranty), with now over a half century of experience in Pro-Shop guitars.

This guitar came to us years ago in aged condition, no missing paint or color except for the normal dings around the lower edge, and a few hairlines in the lacquer clearcoat. The chrome parts were peppered as well, but the frets were in very nice condition. Doc decided to pull it out of storage, prep it for a new Urethane clearcoat (being careful not to expose any raw wood....all original color was preserved, and even some of those edge bumps can be felt to retain it's character)   ....... New Ric Toasters were installed, as well as a new Accent Vibrato to freshen up the chrome parts, and a new truss rod cover..... Pickguards were pro-polished, and it received a true pro-setup. Now, it's the best looking Beatlebacker the shop has ever offered, with OUTRAGEOUS wood grain and color. The wood used in these early models is THICKER and heavier than the modern counterparts.... really well made, and dated January 1980. Doc honestly doesn't care if this sells or not.... it's just a gem, and a joy to play.

Flat shipping to the 48 States, and ONE DAY handling. We're Ric specialists, and sell only the finest Rickenbacker guitars available, including our exclusive Pro-Shop customs. This guitar is NOT just a "wall hanger"....it's a truly enjoyable PLAYER as well, for a discerning buyer/collector.  Blessings to ya', and be SAFE out there.  (We reserve the right to end the listing early due to our local listings, and listing on other venues).
