Lyle Guitars S-726 SG-style electric guitar from the late 60's to early 70's. Lyle was a brand built in Japan at the Matsumoku factory alongside Univox, Aria, Arai, and other guitar brands. This particular model was built in Japan; the exact date is unknown as the Matsumoku factory wasn't diligent about keeping track of serial numbers for all the brands under their roof.
I've had this one for over 17 years but never used it. I actually forgot I had it for quite a long stretch but rediscovered it when packing for a move. Overall it's in good shape, save for a few marks on the finish and some rusting & deterioration on most of the pickguard screws. I'm attempting to source replacement screws (a bit challenging as they're smaller), but if I do find replacements I'll include the originals for posterity.
The electronics are fully functional following a deoxidation cleaning of the pots and a disassembly & cleaning of the bridge pickup switch. The pickups are pretty low in output, but they sound really good. Currently strung up with 9.5's.
The pickguard and frets have expected playing wear. No trem bar. Basic gig bag included.
