About This Listing

The square-shouldered 14-fret rosewood dreadnought is easily the most popular acoustic guitar design in the world, yet somehow Collings brings this iconic template to a totally new level. With tonal clarity to match the warmth and depth of the dreadnought, the Collings D2H is cutting, robust, and powerful, but it also remains sweet and subtle when you want it to be. In many ways, the D2H is a guitar that seems to do everything well.

We ordered this D2H (#33951) to 100% catalog specs, and it's impressive to see what Collings offers at their standard level. It features a Sitka Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. This tried-and-true wood complement produces balanced, articulate sound. Thanks to its dreadnought body and Collings' prewar-inspired bracing, this D2H has a powerful voice, rich in complexity and top-end shimmer. It packs a big, bold sound with clarity and balance you only get from Collings.

The best word to describe this D2H is "versatile." The powerful sound and bass response are excellent for vocal accompaniment. Thanks to Collings' fine-tuned bracing, this D2H responds equally as well to a light fingerstyle touch. At the same time, flatpickers can find the volume and treble need to cut through the mix. The Rosewood Dreadnought is known as a Swiss-Army knife acoustic, and nobody does it quite like Collings! This D2H is a formidable instrument with stylish looks and inspiring tone to match.
