1984 Greco Japan BM-80 Brian May (Queen) Red Special (Red)

Made by the Fujigen factory in 1984, the BM-80 was the production model that was introduced after the success of the limited run BM-900 of the late 1970's. Bound mahogany body with a nice slim 60's style mahogany neck, 24 fret rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 4.2kg's. Loaded with three pickups made by Maxon exclusively for this model controlled by three individual on/off toggles and three phase switches along with master volume and tone knobs. 
This one came to us with seized switches so it's had all six of them replaced with brand new ones along with some new knobs, otherwise it seems to be all original. Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a truss adjustment, fretboard oil, fret polish and deep clean. Neck is straight and the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
