Here for sale we have a Fender American Special Stratocaster in Olympic White finish. Made in the USA in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with a Nickel 6-point synchronised tremolo bridge and Chrome Fender sealed tuning machines. This guitar has been modified with a Gold Anodized pickguard, Fender American Standard neck and middle single-coil pickups and a custom wound bridge pickup. These are wired with a James' Home of Tone Eric Johnson harness.
The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's popular Modern 'C' profile feeling very comfortable in the hand and offering easy reach in all registers. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck ensures smooth transitions into any register, making navigation of the 25.5" scale a breeze. The 9.5" fingerboard radius provides a fine balance between comfortable chord playing and modern practicality for string bending techniques. This is accentuated by the Jumbo frets which offer enhanced vibrato and string bending techniques, as well as a rock solid playing surface.
The James' Home of Tone Eric Johnson wiring harness installed in this guitar offers some unique tones. As the second tone control is wired to the bridge pickup, it's actually the middle pickup in this guitar which has no tone control. This means that the middle pickup provides a more aggressive tone, as well as altering the traditional 'in-between' sounds found in positions 2 & 4. The custom wound bridge pickup is nice and hot at 8.44k, meaning that you'll have no trouble cutting through the mix or driving your amp into a saturated harmonic distortion.
