This guitar is a gorgeous sounding recreation of a 57 strat.Bought from Sweetwater in 2013.Comes with beautiful custom case, whammy, all parts, instructions, certification from fender custom shop, all the documentation, receipt and an extended warranty slip.

Though it was born in 1954, 1957 was a benchmark year for the Stratocaster, and the Fender Custom Shop Sweetwater Special '57 Stratocaster solidbody electric guitar makes you feel like you're playing one of the original gems. The Sweetwater Special '57 Stratocaster boasts an alder body for unmistakable Strat tone, and quartersawn one-piece maple neck and fingerboard adds some extra snap to your sound. To complete the picture, the neck has been lightly tinted to duplicate the effect of a naturally aged vintage guitar that was played in smoky clubs and dance halls - a perfect match for the Heavy Relic finish. This Fender Custom Shop Sweetwater Special '57 Stratocaster boasts a tinted, one-piece quartersawn maple neck - a smart choice for tone-savvy guitarists. Quartersawn wood is much more rigid than flatsawn wood, which means it vibrates better, which means more tone for you! And the lacquer finish, which is thinner than modern polyurethane finishes, will allow this '57 Strat's alder body to sing loud and clear.

Heavy Relic finish gives this guitar a unique look

This '57 Strat is treated with the Heavy Relic treatment. This means the guitar is finished to resemble an instrument that has enjoyed a long life of heavy use. This includes significant wear and tear to the finish, dings to the body, neck, and headstock, and aged hardware. The end result is an instrument that looks like it's been around for a while and plays like a well broken-in instrument.
