WARMOTH Z SWAMP ASH & MAPLE BODY - Bengal Burst/Black

This is a Warmoth Z body based on the late 1980's Zeta guitar shape.
The guitar has a swamp ash core wood with a hand selected ($125 upgrade) book matched maple top in Bengal burst finish and black back and sides. The overall weight is light at approximately 3 pounds 11 ounces. It has Warmoth's custom contoured neck pocket heel shape as well as belly and forearm contours which makes it a very comfortable and balanced guitar body. The neck pocket fits a Stratocaster neck.

I listed this in Very Good condition only because of a few small dings on the sides and minor surface scratches throughout, but nothing significant. I pointed out an obvious one as any others were difficult to capture in photographs. The tiny marks between the bridge posts are just from some of the saddle lock screws rubbing against the body and won't be seen once a bridge is installed. Overall, this guitar body was well taken care of.

The bridge rout is for a standard non-floating Floyd Rose and pick-up routs are for direct mounted humbuckers. Small brass inserts are installed in the pickup cavities with machine screws included. The holes are for a volume pot and three way toggle switch.

Included is a Pure Tone output jack mounted to a chrome football jack plate, chrome neck plate with pad, neck screws, strap buttons, spring claw with attached grounding wire, a neck pocket shim and chrome FR posts with installed bushings.

It was wired once upon a time with an EVH Frankenstein pickup in the bridge position and it sounded amazing. A highly recommended combination if you are searching for that early Van Halen sound.
