About This Listing

Up for sale is a cool and unique 1975 Rickenbacker 481 in its original Tuxedo White finish. This example has original hardware, a bolt on neck design and slanted frets. The knobs have been replaced. Overall in very good condition less some finish wear, finish fade and dings / dents. There is a small area of finish chipping where the neck and fretboard meet on the bass side of the neck located at the first fret. Pro setup in house and comes complete with its original hard case. The case itself has a slight nicotine scent to it. When the guitar is removed from the case the scent dissipates from the instrument.

Product Overview
Borrowing its body from the 480 but adding on some sweet deluxe features, the Rickenbacker 481 electric guitar boasts slanted frets meant to match the natural angle of your fingers as well as a pickup phase reversal switch and two humbuckers. The slanted frets were standard on some Rick instruments, like the 481, but were optional for others; they also proved useful in some ways while hindering in others.
