Heritage Guitars was founded in 1985 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
The Gibson Kalamazoo factory closed in 1984. After the closing of the factory, Heritage was founded by Jim Durrow and a few other craftsmen.
While following the Gibson tradition, Heritage's unique manufacturing techniques and craftsmen's passion for craftsmanship have made it possible to create unique guitars that have been used by such great guitarists as Kenny Burrell and Johnny Smith.
The Eagle Classic is a 17" body with a veneer spruce top and very beautifully grained maple sides and back.
The sound from the traditional body produces a mellow yet beautiful jazz tone.
The neck is a 5-piece maple and walnut neck with ebony fingerboard.
Two Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickups were developed by Seth Lover, who worked on the original PAFs for Gibson in the 1950s, and their vintage-like sound is an excellent match for this instrument.
The original frets are in perfect condition, and the truss rod has plenty of room, so the neck is in excellent playable condition.
There are some minor cloth scratches, tarnished metal parts, and some cracks on the toggle switch cover, but the neck is in good condition with no neck lift or top drop.
The sound is inherited from the good old tradition.
Please take a look at it.
