A very rare WEM Control ER30 (30 watts valve amp) made in England by Charlie Watkins in 1967. The ER30 valve head was introduced in late 1966. A 30W push-pull valve amplifier, it has 2 channels each with 2 inputs, treble-boost slide switches, and bass, treble & volume controls. Valves - 4 x EL84, 3 x ECC83. Suitable for guitar/bass/organ. The amplifier was discontinued in 1967 to be replaced with the vastly inferior transistor-powered ER40.

This amplifier is 100% original specification with no modifications. It has undergone a recent full service - All electrolytic capacitors replaced with excellent quality F&T audio grade capacitors plus a small amount of 'drifted-spec' resistors replaced (all using like-for-like component values). switched, pots, valve seats though cleaned - now providing perfect operation on all 4 inputs. All control knobs and attached hardware is original and all badge plates present. The original 'can-caps' are available with it incase anyone wants to go the effort of re-stuffing/refitting them for nerd-level chassis appearance.

Cabinet condition is amazing for it's age, a few small areas of tolex in vulnerable areas have been repaired/touched in, both units visually outstanding. Screen printing on the amp head/speaker badge is faultless, just a few very minor light scuffs on the aluminium face plate.

Includes the two elusive 'head to speaker cab' fastening bolts at the rear of the head unit allowing the speaker cab to be pitched backwards without the head sliding off. Speaker cabinet 1 x 15" original Goodmans speaker

It sounds fabulous, a real cracking little amp and a pleasure to play through. Any questions, further photos please ask away!
