Late 1960s / 1970s Wilson (WEM) Sapphire electric guitar - Rare left handed version. Made in England.

Hard to date exactly but Wilson branded WEM guitars were post 1968 and according to Watkins guitar world circa 1972 guitars were in the 18000 serial number range, this is serial 17195 so as a guess its from between 1968 - 1972.

Used condition but pretty clean for age, there are minor indents around the body edges and one small indent on the fretboard. The electrics are working and the switching offers lots of tonal variety. The volume control only works when the switch is in the Rhythm (R) position  ( I assume this is original ).

The strings are new 10s and the action and playability are pretty good but you may wish to tweek the set up once received. The trem arm is missing and no case is included. The fret ends are are a little sloppy compared to todays modern guitars but its a functional and useable example.

As far as I can tell its all original (possibly the tuners are replacements) and similar examples online have been priced at £1295.

Please don't expect this guitar to match your custom shop strat, its not that kind of beast but if your looking for an affordable vintage guitar then this maybe it.
