Das Dept. 10 Dual Distortion ist ein Röhren Drive Pedal mit einer Betriebsspannung von über 200V. Im Kanal 1 stehen ein Clean und ein Crunch Mode zur Auswahl, wodurch Sounds von Clean über Boost bis hin zu Overdrive erzeugt werden können. Der Kanal 2 bietet zwei Overdrive Modes und deckt ein Spektrum von Crunch bis hin zu schneidenden Lead Sounds ab. Mit dem von BLACKSTAR patentierten ISF Regler können diverse Sounds von amerikanisch bis britisch und dazwischen eingestellt werden. Mithilfe der Cab Rig Software lassen sich weitere Einstellungen vornehmen und über den vorhanden USB- bzw. XLR-Ausgang können die erstellten Sounds aufgenommen oder zum Üben über Kopfhörer genutzt werden.
