Vintage Favilla F-8 Acoustic

Beautiful sounding vintage acoustic guitar from Favilla. The Favilla family was based in NYC, Brooklyn and then Long Island by the time this was built. It is an all-American made guitar and has stood the test of time so far.  The tone from the solid wood top is amazing and puts it right up there near other top makers of the time. There is some wear and tear on the body as shown in the photos. Most of it, especially the finish checking is normal for the age and does not affect the playability. Action is fairly low and no buzzing is present. Braces are intact and holding well as is the bridge - there is no lifting. Frets are in good shape for the age. The guitar is currently set up with a set of Silk & Steel strings and is playing nicely as is. The neck angle is probably at its limit and these strings work well for it.
