Kingston Hound Dog Taylor 3 Pickup Electric Guitar MIJ Japan 1960s - Sunburst

Here for sale is a Teisco / Kingston three pickup guitar. This guitar was made famous by Hound Dog Taylor, the legendary blues musician. Made in Japan in the 1960s by Matsumoku.

This guitar looks and plays great. The action is super low, and it only has the to-be-expected amount of dings and scrapes on a ~50 year old guitar.

The pickups and electronics sound great, and the bridge and middle pickups that can be switched on individually plus a rhythm/lead circuit means this guitar has a W I D E variance of tone.

As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, changed the strings, cleaned the electronic components and set the action low and smooth. Unfortunately there is no tremolo arm included but I’m sure one could either be purchased or possibly rigged up.
