You are looking at a custom, carved-top acoustic/electric jazz guitar made to original owner's ( Ben Harvey) specifications by William Gagnon. Bill has only made just over 12 of these very special instruments- each to spec. As a one-of -a-kind instrument of this caliber, you should take note-especially if you are an experienced/mature player or collector.
This is an excellent custom instrument, from the 22 fret neck, highly ornate with pearl and abalone to the natural wood multi-layer bindings, to the understated but beautiful tailpiece.
The top, side and back and neck woods are AAAAA European, from a tree Bill imported for the Imperials.
The sound and playability are superb ,as expected. Tone is resonant, full and has an excellent pop to each note. Chords are rich, clear ,distinct and balanced. F holes are bound.
Measurements are: 17'' bout, 21.5'' long body ,2.75'' depth, 25''scale fret neck, 1.75 neck width at nut, 2.125''width at 12th fret.
