Here we have a very unique Chapman stick style 7 string guitar with an added 7 string drone neck for more variation of sounds. Built by a long time friend customer builder James Page, a true very talented professional musician who plays mainly bass and guitar and other variations of dozens of instruments he has built and designed over the past 4 decades I have known him. His last group who has been together for 30 plus years, still performs in the Detroit area now and then is 'Brothers from Another Planet'. A very 'hot' Punk-Funk-Soul-Rock group who tears it up onstage.
Anyway this latest creation of James' is nothing less than to cool for school. It is constructed much like a Chapman stick except is has a stereo jack which allows you to blend the 2 necks with a volume and tone control, with the blend control in the middle. The pickup on the drone neck is a newer Dan Electro lipstick pickup. The other pickup is a Lace Alumitone humbucker.
The Chapman style neck is tuned like the original with the thick middle string tuned to B followed south tuned EA&D. North of the B string can be tuned to GB & E or GF & C. The tuning on the 7 strings of the drone neck can be tuned to the tuning of you choice. Whatever you want to hear.
The machine heads are Grovers and the pots are CTS.
So there you have it.
Comes in a pictured gig bag, a Stick method book, and a very nice vintage brown leather strap.
It is set up with strap pins to put a strap on.
