I bought this Fender Professional II new because I loved the paint job. After I got it I did not realize that one tone knobs was a coil tap that really did not improve anything as far as sound or tone and was an inch higher than the other knobs so it would only fit in certain cases. Instead of replacing the knob I switched out to a wired Lindy Fralin pickguard with custom rail blues pickups. I received a notice from Fender that they had introduced square neck inlays as opposed to dots for the Stratocaster and I thought that was really cool. So, even though it is a Mexican neck, I switched it out. My friend did the pinstriping. I comes with a Fender Blue Vinyl Wood hard case.
It is a high-end unique parts guitar that looks cool, is fun to play, and sounds amazing.
