The guitar can be dated to 1969 by its serial number on the back of the headstock and on the sticker in the interior of the guitar

Original double line Kluson deluxe tuners

Straight mahogany neck topped with a RW fretboard. Action is low, no need for neck reset. Truss rod works fine. The frets are in good condition, just minor fret wear. Comfortable round C neck profile.

Spruce top with beautiful sunburst finish (cool crazing) - some dings - honest play wear.

Besides a repaired pickguard crack, there are no other cracks.

Original screwed pickguard.

Original RW ADJ bridge

The FT-79 Texan is well known for its bright, clean, and big tone, which is immediately evocative of folk-rock albums of the 1960s and 70s. And this one is no exception ! This classic vintage Texan has a beautiful and big vintage sound. It is a canon, but also subtle and plays like a dream. Many well-know guitarists and singer-songwriters, like Jimmy Hendrix, Peter Frampton, Paul Mc Cartney,... loved and played an Epiphone FT-79 Texan.

The guitar travels in a nice newer hard shell case.
