This is an early 1960s (Possibly late 50's) "Roger" Cutaway Archtop semi-acoustic. Imported by Boosey and Hawks London from Mittenwald Karw in Germany.
This builder has a very interesting history as we found out when looking into this guitar.
Superb build quality with a carved top and back, and displaying a fit and finish that is evidence of a real craftsman at work. We would put this instrument right up there with both Hofner and Framus in terms of quality looking at the way this guitar has been constructed.
It has had one owner and a Bartolini pickup has been added. One machine head has been changed, and there are some marks, chips, and dings, but overall it is in very good condition.
Some minor fret wear but with plenty of life left in them. The setup is nice as its last owner was a Jazz player and not afraid of the upper reaches of the neck. The has been an added strap button on the heel of the neck.
Sold with its original hard shell case.
