The Hayman 3030 was first manufactured in 1971. In 1973 Hayman added models with Re-An humbucking pickups, yielding this Hayman 3030H. The body is of obeche, finished in gloss black with the smoked plexiglass pickguard adding a touch of class. Controls are a simple three-way with one volume and one tone knob. Strings pass through the body. The hard rock maple neck and fingerboard is trimmed with black binding, with Grover Pat Pend tuners. The zero fret helps give this guitar a nice low action.
This guitar is all original with the exception of the bridge pickup which has been changed to an Epiphone humbucker. The guitar is in great condition and not suffering from the usual lacquer cracking you find on vintage Hayman and Shergold guitars. This is probably due to the guitar living in a studio since 1979. It does have some minor signs of it age with a scratch to the bass side cutaway, some mild buckle rash to the rear and a crack in the casing of the neck pickup (see last 3 pictures).
The guitar comes complete with padded Ritter gig bag.
