This F50 by Lowden is crafted from the very best woods from George Lowden's "private stock", so-called Mastergrade (AAAAA) tonewoods. Lowden once again demonstrates their high quality and flawless workmanship, and everything about this F50 is done to perfection.
Known for its deep patterns and a warm mellow tone, Tasmanian Blackwood is often described as 'Koa on steroids'. It offers sweet trebles, a pronounced midrange and a clear and warm and round bass, with great tonal separation and a quicker attack than most rosewoods.
Not only the versatile guitarist, but also the fingerstyle player will be pleased with this great combination of woods and superior build quality. The guitar's attack, fast response, depth, and volume are simply impressive thanks to the combination of Tasmanian Blackwood with the Adirondack spruce top. The timbre is wonderful and the piano-like clarity is very overwhelming. Extra luxury and comfort are given by a comfortable "armrest bevel" and beautiful 'Style 38' abalone purfling and rosette.
