The second wheel is an abrasive fiber that's useful for cleaning and deburring metal parts. We added a custom steel table to our Mini Grinder, created solely to support the Ultimate Scrapers while sharpening. These beefy scrapers are thicker than standard scrapers, and with two cutting edges they present some challenges when it comes to sharpening. If you use our Ultimate Scrapers, then our Mini Grinder is the tool you need for a quick and accurate edge. Less time sharpening = more time building An incorrectly sharpened scraper tends to leave scratches and a rough feel, but a properly tuned one will leave a glass smooth surface with no extra sanding required. The tempered steel Ultimate Scraper holds its edge longer than most scrapers, even when working with hard woods. Sharpening our Ultimate Scrapers has never been so simple: Place the scraper face down on the large table and move the edge slowly and easily across the wheel—in a matter of seconds it will be sharp and ready to get back to work.
