This Phantom Brian Jones Teardrop Solid Body White is part of the private collection of John Mellencamp's guitarist Mike Wanchic & Echo Park Studios.

From Phantom, is this excellent Phanton Brian Jones Teardrop. All of the Phantom guitar bodies are made of solid mahogany. The necks are crafted out of some of the finest hard-rock maple found anywhere. Our fingerboards are beautifully, and skillfully made from the most beautiful Indian rosewood, and the high-gloss yellowed finish that protects each of our instruments; is both beautiful and functional. Assembled in the USA with both foreign and domestic parts. Each guitar built is hand-wired with silver solder, and all of the pickups and hardware we use are proprietary, all in an effort to replicate the look, overall charm, and feel, of the original 1960's instruments.

Here we have a gorgeous Phantom White Teardrop VI. This batch of Phantom guitars were all used to make the Mellencamp album “Freedoms”. These were the exclusive instruments for that record. Unfortunately these beauties were no longer being used. Fast forward to your opportunity to pick this up on Reverb.

In terms of condition, the neck is straight and true. Electronics are a little scratchy, namely the pickup selector. This could likely be cleaned up with some contact cleaner or just everyday use. Couldn’t find any other issues with this guitar aside from the fact that it isn’t being played right now!Comes complete cleaning cloth and additional strap.
