Ampeg Reverberocket R12RB 1964 owned by Mike Wanchic

This Ampeg Reverberocket R12RB is part of the private collection of John Mellencamp's guitarist Mike Wanchic & Echo Park Studios.

The Ampeg Reverberocket R-12 R was a 1x12 all tube combo with 12 watts. It was based on the Ampeg Rocket but included reverb.

This vintage classic Reverberocket comes complete with the original Jenson speaker. Studio owned since the 1992 by Mike, this amp was recently serviced by Mike's in-house amp tech.

In our testing we found there is some slight crackling in the amp's tremolo when the signal is pushed especially at lower frequencies. This amp could require a new tube for the tremolo circuit sooner rather than later. Amp light does not work, but a new bulb should have this bad boy light right up. Comes with the original foot switch which is rare to find with these amps.

Has been well loved (the best pieces of gear often are) and comes complete with cigarette burns and storage wear to the tolex.

This amp is a personal favorite from this collection.
