1948 Gibson GA-25 20W Combo Amp

This 1948 Gibson GA-25 amplifier is in very good condition. It shows signs of use and age throughout (see photos). Internally, it is all original with the exception of a few filter caps. The transformers date to the 7th week of 1948 and the speaker has a visible code dating it to the 3rd week of 1948. This awesome little 20 watt amp has just been professionally serviced by Hime Amplification in Nashville, Tennessee. They performed a cap job, cleaned the pots and added a three prong power cable for safe operation so this 75 year old amp is ready to roll. This amp sounds excellent and has a very dry, barking crunch that is quite suitable for any type of old blues, rock and roll, R&B or roots oriented music. This amp handles pedals very well and can really get raunchy with a transparent overdrive in front of it. A truly cool amp and addition for any guitar picker, studio owner or instrument collection.
